4 Month of being in the shipyard and it finally starts feeling like home.
People smiling at me when I arrive, sweet nicknames that aren't based on belittling me but on heartfelt moments we got to create with one another
Today I wanted to take a day off, but magically found myself on the bus to the shipyard after work. It happens so automatically now, I don't even notice it anymore. and there I was, Ahava looking chaotic and pretty as always, spring sun shining on the boats all around
I put on some music and started positioning the toilet where I want it to be, measuring all the parts I need for it and found myself surrounded by a million questions of how not to sink ahava ...physics can be s tricky thing :)
so I made myself some coffee and went to take a little walk to breath, think and just step out of chaos for a minute
That's when my new shipyard friends came around the corner, smiling at me, hugging me, and I got to ask all my bathroom questions, non of them got answered but I laughed a bunch and heard great stories of all the people who have build there boats in this crazy Berlin shipyard before
After this hesrt warming break I went along and ordered some parts for my Saildrive, looked at places to buy new windows and decided to call it a day, go see my family and take a hot bath
Tomorrow the alarm clock will ring at 2:30 again and another long day of working and shipyard will be waiting for me
A beautiful and sometimes tiring way of living accompanied by great people and big dreams
